Improved Contact Merge Interface

The current interface for merging duplicate contacts is slow and cumbersome for many records. I'd suggest these improvements. The best way to see this is this video: https://www.loom.com/share/6ffd1a8d715b406ba4c90ea5077d7be6?sid=b2462e38-f1fd-49f8-865c-5d4fd77d669c Here are the options: 1) Let a user select multiple records using the existing checkboxes, hit merge, and then walk through the decision screen for each record. 2) Add merge, ignore and archive icons beside each record. clicking these icons lets you take the action on this record.

Would be great when merging duplicates not to have to scroll back to top to select merge. Have tool bar move with page.

Allow multiple merging of duplicate contacts

Just started the process of merging duplicate contacts. The list of duplicates doesn't have a group action so I can only click on one duplicate at a time to merge rather than check every box and merge all at the same time. Would be quicker if you could select all duplicates at once and then merge.

It would be helpful for a notification to pop up if a potential duplicate contact is created when adding a single contact to Donor Dock and also when contacts are imported into Donor Dock. It would be helpful for Donor Dock to indicate duplication based on email or on full name.

Cut down on Duplicate Records when importing large amounts of data.

Expand the "search function" of the importing process to include abbreviations such as "St" instead of "Street" just like you improved the search function of the data base. Too many duplicate records are being created at this time.

(Thanks for reviewing!) Agree especially on this first part, to somehow find a way, when creating a new contact, for the system (maybe Otto?) to alert you to a possible duplicate before you "complete" the new contact record. I have trained myself to "search for" before "creating new" to avoid new dupes, but FWIW my user instinct is to "create new."
