We would like to track that we sent thank yous to our donors, but it would be nice if there were a simple check box on the individual donation that said whether a thank you was sent or not. We can always add it as an activity, but it seems like a lot of extra steps, and we're a small enough team that we wouldn't have to track who sent it. We just want to be able to look up a donation in the system and see if a thank you was sent. I'm not sure if anyone else would appreciate this idea or not. Just an observation from our team.

We do already have a system field that is true/false for receipt sent. When on a donation record, you can click the receipts button at the top and select the mark as sent option if you sent a thank you outside of DonorDockto move the field to True. Additionally, if desired to have a separate field for thank you sent from receipt sent, you can add a custom gift field through the settings menu. You can create the gift custom field as checkbox (true/false) and add the name of the field desired. Custom fields can be accessed by opening the settings menu (grid icon top right) and selecting settings then on the menu options on the left, select custom fields. Then Select gift custom fields to view and add gift specific custom fields.
