Donor Retention Percentage

Calculate the Donor Retention percentage for monetary gifts and in-kind gifts separately, and also have the combined overall Donor Retention percentage.

It would be helpful if we had a way to choose what donation types were included in our overall retention rate. It would also be really helpful to have a way of seeing what our retention rate is for each donation type (for instance, if we wanted to see retention rates for just membership).

I found a work around for this if anyone else is looking. Our org needed to be able to see the membership retention rate, and total donor retention rate including member and non-member gifts. To do this I exported all gifts with only Account ID, Amount, and Date for all years present, and then uploaded into https://app.fundraisingreportcard.com. The available reports showed me the data I needed within seconds. Then I ran a DD report just for our membership campaign with only Account ID, Amount, and Date for all years present, uploaded into FRC, and had the info our board needed for member retention only. Hope that helps save someone else some sanity...
